The Weinberg ICU (WICU) is a fast-paced, 20-bed Surgical ICU at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Our diverse patient population receives a wide range of complex surgeries, including—but not limited to—Surgical ENT, GI Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedic/Neuro-Spine procedures, and General Surgery. This variety offers nurses an exceptional opportunity to broaden their clinical expertise and build confidence in caring for critically ill patients with highly complex needs. The team is composed of a multidisciplinary group of professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Patient Care Technicians, Support Staff, Respiratory Therapists, and Pharmacists. Together, they collaborate to deliver patient- and family-centered care of the highest quality. The WICU is proud to be recognized for its culture of teamwork, inclusivity, and excellence. Requirements
- Associate degree from Accredited Nursing Program required.
- BSN/MSN matriculation required within 1 year of hire and completion of degree within 5 years of hire.
- Applicants with an Associate’s degree JHH provides Tuition Assistance towards earning your BSN/MSN
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required
- Acute Care RN work experience required
- Nurses hired with an Associate’s degree in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of your start date.
- Authorization to Work in the United States: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
