The Cardiovascular Surgical A2North Unit is hiring for .9FTE RNs on night shift. A2N is a 28-bed, fast-paced, high acuity, mixed model unit that includes Progressive Care patients. This unit's focus is the treatment of cardiovascular patients through surgical and medical management of diagnoses. Diagnoses include cardiac arrhythmias, circulatory disorders, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), cardiac valve repairs/replacement, and post heart catheterization procedural care. Cardiovascular Surgical is the only Progressive Care unit at Methodist Hospital with registered nurses who are specially trained in the care of Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD). With the required specialized care of these patients, the diagnoses can be varied. This position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift, holiday differentials and a relocation bonus. More details about these differentials will be provided during the interview process. CLABSI free (over 1 year) Several Daisy Award Nominees in 2023 and 2024 Implemented new Fall Toolkit which resulted in a major reduction in fall harm events Multiple RNs with Certifications and counting!
