About The Position

Epic Pain Management is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Sedation to support procedural and surgical services across all Epic locations throughout San Antonio. This is a multi-site role requiring regular travel between locations. The nurse will play a critical role in administering and monitoring moderate sedation, ensuring patient safety throughout procedures, and supporting physicians and clinical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a procedural, critical care, or acute care setting
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligible)
  • BLS (AHA or ARC) at time of hire
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Strong IV and sedation-related clinical skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and patient monitoring abilities
  • Clear, compassionate communication skills with patients and care teams
  • Ability to adapt to multiple clinical environments while maintaining consistent standards of care

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience in peri-anesthesia, PACU, ER, ICU, interventional radiology, or GI lab
  • Completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training program
  • CNOR (Surgery)
  • CPAN (Post-Anesthesia)
  • SGNA (GI Lab)

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor moderate sedation for interventional pain management procedures
  • Perform IV insertion and manage IV therapies
  • Conduct thorough pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient assessments
  • Monitor patient vitals and recovery, identifying and responding to changes in condition
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient safety and comfort
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Travel routinely between Epic locations across San Antonio to provide clinical support as scheduled
