This is a Full Time Position in Med/Surg Compensation Range: $33.58 to $50.38 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life, Retirement, Paid Time Off Position Classification: Non-Exempt Essential Functions and Basic Duties Position Specific Performance Expectations: Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary May precept student nurses and new hires. Employs critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action. Performs other duties as assigned. Partners with the healthcare consumer to implement a patient centered plan of care. Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships. Uses evidence-based interventions and strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
