About The Position

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while meeting competently all safe expectations of a nurse.

Requirements

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Provider
• Current ACLS
• Current PALS
• CPI within 3 months of hire or transfer
• Minimum six months of nursing experience
• External candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or above
• Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday
• Sitting is approximately 25%
• Must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary (Weight will vary from patient to patient)
• Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Must be free from signs of illness and infections
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

• Previous critical care experience in acute care hospital
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
