Our acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit guides patients on their physical recovery journey after a stroke, other brain injury, trauma, amputation, spinal cord injury and more. This is a unique department that is very rewarding and will leave you with a sense of fulfillment. Nurses in this acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit will help with IV’s, antibiotics, administer blood, wound vacs, and trachs’ among other things. You will coordinate multidisciplinary care by collaborating with providers, dietitians, care management, and physical, occupational and speech therapy professionals. You can succeed in this role if you’ve worked in a post-acute care setting like short-stay, long-term care, skilled nursing facility or similar unit. You will be able to expand your skill set and use of critical thinking due to the complexity of the patients.
