Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Join the Outpatient Surgery Center Team at Gundersen Health System! Gundersen Health System is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient Surgery Center team in beautiful La Crosse, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity to provide hands-on pre-op and post-op care during daytime hours, while working in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. What You Will Do: 0.9 FTE – 72 hours per two-week pay period Weekday shifts – 8-hour days with start times between 5:30 am and 9:00 am. Post shift on call requirement approximately once every other week to finish cases. Weekend call – Two 12-hour daytime call shifts every 6–8 months, supporting the main recovery room alongside a recovery room RN Care for a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics Provide pre-op and post-op care for a wide range of surgical specialties including: Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Hand, Urology, Podiatry, GYN, Dental, Pain Services, Cardioversions, Lumbar Punctures, and Bone Marrow Biopsies Perform IV starts, medication administration, and have the opportunity to administer conscious sedation Deliver patient education and discharge instructions What You Will Get: A collaborative, team-oriented department with strong communication and a patient-first approach High patient satisfaction scores reflecting our commitment to quality care Supportive leadership including a Clinical Manager and a Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator) Access to Gundersen’s Career Development Center for ongoing growth Competitive benefits including a top-rated retirement plan and comprehensive healthcare coverage Emplify Health is comprised of two of the Midwest’s most respected healthcare systems, Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System. Requirements

  • Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers
  • ACLS and PALS certifications (required after hire)
  • Experience in acute care with intermediate care patients preferred
