This position is for a Registered Nurse whose responsibility is to provide day-to-day patient care activities to patients receiving therapeutic and diagnostic services in Medical Surgical Services Station 2, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures and professional standards. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, prioritize, plan, deliver, and evaluate neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient responses to potential life threatening situations or illnesses. Refers unusual clinical and administrative problems to the Director of Medical Surgical Services Unit Coordinator, or Charge Nurse. Responsible for the supervision of professional and skilled personnel during an assigned shift. The position reports to the Director of Medical Surgical Services.
