Reporting to the Director, the IMC Registered Nurse must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population of patients. The Registered Nurse should possess the knowledge and skill of how-to safety apply the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions. This 30-bed unit provides care for high-acuity patients across a wide spectrum of complex specialties. Comorbidities are diverse and patients often require cardiac telemetry monitoring and/or mechanical ventilator support. Unit equipped with two negative pressure rooms and patient lift assist equipment in all rooms. On-site Nurse educator. Acute/Critical Care course for nurses who are new to the acute, in-patient population. As a Registered Nurse you will: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care. Ability to communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of patient. Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records. Administer medications to patients, provide education and monitor for efficacy and side effects. Assess, monitor, report and record patient condition and pertinent changes. Design, implement and evaluate patient nursing care plans with healthcare team. Educates patients and family throughout stay and in preparation for discharge.
