About The Position

We are looking for a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide exceptional pre-operative patient care, with the opportunity for cross-training in our in-office Angiography Suite(s) and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will be responsible for educating patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional who can provide high-quality nursing care with minimal supervision. Compassion, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. The goal is to promote patient well-being by delivering high-quality care in our busy Vascular Surgery facilities. Compensation will be dependent on experience and discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

Current/active State of Arizona RN Licensure
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
ACLS/BLS Certification
Minimum of 1 year Operating Room experience preferred
In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times, including HIPAA Privacy Rules
Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making ability
Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
Advanced knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
Strong understanding of emergency care
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills—both verbal and written
Responsible, compassionate, and professional demeanor
Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical history, confirming medications, evaluating risk factors, and ensuring all required testing/documentation is completed.
Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
Observe and interpret patient symptoms and communicate findings to physicians/surgeons.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and surgeons to devise individualized care plans.
Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and accurately complete patient charting.
Adjust and administer medications and provide treatments according to physician/surgeon orders.
Inspect facilities and maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards (decontamination, sanitizing, preparing patient areas).
Provide immediate medical care in emergencies.
Assist surgeons during operations.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
