About The Position

We are looking for a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide exceptional pre-operative patient care, with the opportunity for cross-training in our in-office Angiography Suite(s) and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will be responsible for educating patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional who can provide high-quality nursing care with minimal supervision. Compassion, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. The goal is to promote patient well-being by delivering high-quality care in our busy Vascular Surgery facilities. Compensation will be dependent on experience and discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

  • Current/active State of Arizona RN Licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • ACLS/BLS Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year Operating Room experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times, including HIPAA Privacy Rules
  • Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making ability
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  • Strong understanding of emergency care
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills—both verbal and written
  • Responsible, compassionate, and professional demeanor
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical history, confirming medications, evaluating risk factors, and ensuring all required testing/documentation is completed.
  • Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
  • Observe and interpret patient symptoms and communicate findings to physicians/surgeons.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and surgeons to devise individualized care plans.
  • Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and accurately complete patient charting.
  • Adjust and administer medications and provide treatments according to physician/surgeon orders.
  • Inspect facilities and maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards (decontamination, sanitizing, preparing patient areas).
  • Provide immediate medical care in emergencies.
  • Assist surgeons during operations.
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
