The swing shift position is designed to support the unforeseen circumstances of shift to shift business operations during peak admission, throughput, and discharge timeframes. Role is direct unit staffing support though taking admissions/assignments at start of shift. Other areas of the role may include supporting RNs with procedures, rounding/assessing quality measures, and ensuring safe patient transport. The adaptable nurse in this leadership position will have a combination of swing RN shifts from 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM during the week and 12 hour bedside RN shifts based on unit self-scheduling and business need in an every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday position. 3 years of clinical/inpatient nursing experience is preferred. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
