About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing medical care to include assessing and managing patients following established standards and practices. Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company is a vertically integrated musculoskeletal outcomes management company. HOPCo manages physician practices, hospital service lines, population health and value-based care programs, and musculoskeletal delivery networks.

Requirements

  • Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
  • ADN/BSN
  • Minimum of two years professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital environment, preferably pre-op/post-op and or surgery center.
  • Knowledge of acute and chronic protocols, administration of medications, delivering physical care following the treatment plan
  • Skill in analyzing, interpreting a medical record, and gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic, and emotional patient data.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general nursing care to patients in the clinic. Administers medications per standing orders/medications written by a physician. Practices within the Registered Nurse scope.
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatment and examination of patients.
  • Observes, records and reports change in patient’s medical condition, informs physician immediately, and follows through
  • Educates patient/family about procedures and medications.
  • Ensures patients displaying a change in medical condition are given immediate attention and priority.
  • Maintains/reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Ensures pre-op phone calls are made to patients and that these patients fully meet protocol for a procedure scheduled.
  • Responds to /refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medication and treatment instructions.
