The Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting, performing assessments, treatments, and procedures according to established clinical protocols and provider direction. This role functions as a clinical support professional, identifying changes in patient condition, communicating findings to the treating provider, and implementing ordered care. Key aspects of the role include safe execution of nursing skills, patient monitoring, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. Clinical competency is overseen by the organization’s clinical leadership and quality programs, while daily operational supervision is provided by the Regional Operations Manager. The centers offer a welcoming and comfortable environment with state-of-the-art technology and caring team members, providing effortless on-demand care 365 days a year in over 250+ centers nationwide, partnering with prominent health systems to support communities across the continuum of care.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of clinical nursing experience in emergency department, or critical care nursing strongly preferred.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • PALS certification.
  • Strong critical thinking.
  • Quick decision-making.
  • Crisis management.
  • Ability to work under high pressure.
  • Proficient in IV insertion (all ages).
  • Proficient in indwelling urethral catheter placement (Foley, Coudé).
  • Proficient in IV fluid and medication administration.
  • Proficient in Medication administration and patient monitoring.
  • Proficiency in splinting.
  • Proficiency in wound care.
  • Proficiency in suture removal.
  • Assisting with minor procedures.
  • Experience with point-of-care testing (POCT).
  • Experience with phlebotomy.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies effectively (Clinical Judgment).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with emergency and healthcare teams (Teamwork).
  • Familiarity with medical equipment and electronic documentation (Technology).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and EMS regulations (Compliance).
  • Demonstrates compassion and professionalism in patient care (Empathy).

  • Demonstrated competency in Electrocardiogram (EKG) testing.
