DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide life-giving care in a hospital setting to patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The company's mission is to be the Provider, Partner, and Employer of Choice, emphasizing empathetic and compassionate care. No prior dialysis experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided, potentially at a facility other than the assigned home location. The role may involve floating to various facilities during and after training, and requires a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. As part of a small interdisciplinary team, Staff RNs deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring a broad range of nursing skills. Responsibilities include overseeing patients with the support of PCTs, conducting observations, measuring stats, and setting up machines. The position involves specializing in multiple renal therapies, including Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis, delivered daily within a hospital setting across various units such as ICU, CCU, and ED. Nurses will become an integral part of both the hospital and DaVita teams. The schedule involves regularly scheduled and on-call shifts, with weekly schedules known in advance, though daily schedules may change based on patient needs. DaVita's Inpatient Dialysis Program is Joint Commission Accredited. DaVita is recognized as a clinical leader, with a high percentage of facilities meeting or exceeding CMS's standards, and expects nurses to commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives. DaVita fosters a community-first culture, striving to be "a place where I belong" and is an equal opportunity workplace.
