About The Position

St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee is seeking a Full Time Nights Telemetry Nurse to join their dedicated team. Requirements

Current and valid state RN License.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
Ventilator Management experience preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
Be directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
Perform routine RN duties including assessments, bedside dialysis, and medication administration.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and improve outcomes.
