Astera Health currently has a Registered Nurse (RN) opening at the Wadena campus. This position is part-time: 48 hours per biweekly pay period, 12-hour night shifts, with every third holiday and weekend rotation schedule. Some responsibilities of the Inpatient RN include, but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

• Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota
• Maintain active BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Uses and documents the nursing process to provide individualized patient-focused care from admission to discharge
• Coordinates the nursing plan of care with the medical plan of care in the development and implementation of the Patient Care Plan
• Assists the physician with rounds, physical examinations and procedures
• Maintains updated age-specific competencies for infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
• Performs patient care activities to provide for the physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs of the patient/family
• Safely administers treatments and medications
