About The Position

UW Medical Center-Northwest - Urology, Pelvic Health, and Kidney Stone Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary Registered Nurse. WORK SCHEDULE Full time / 40 hours per week Day shifts between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday only Our clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays This is a temporary, fixed duration position. We expect this position to last 4 months. This position is eligible for retirement benefits, but not healthcare benefits. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Urology, Pelvic Health, and Kidney Stone Clinic provides comprehensive care for patients of all genders. Our services include specialized pelvic floor rehabilitation, surgical and nonsurgical urologic care, and minimally invasive ultrasonic treatments. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Great opportunity for RNs seeking a temporary job Training will be provided to experienced RNs who are new to the field of urology PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provides support during urodynamics testing Performs outpatient urology clinic procedures such as foley catheter placements, suprapubic catheter exchanges, and bladder instillations Administers specialty medications Educates patients and their families on urologic symptom management, pre-operative teaching, and post-operative care Answers patient calls and eCare messages Follows up on medical records and test results Assists with coordination of care and continuity of care process as part of the healthcare team ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest. Requirements

  • 2 years of recent nursing work experience in a hospital or an outpatient clinic
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
  • BLS
