This position is primarily responsible for providing direct patient care services to a diverse patient population through the administration of medication, counseling and health maintenance. Assesses patient’s /health needs and resources, and provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. Functions as charge nurse on the units as designated by Supervisor. This position requires providing service to one or more age populations including adolescents and geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. In addition, nurses shall have the ability to assess, treat, and appropriately interact and care for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. (TTC). It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Tarzana Treatment Center’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). The RN I level is determined at the time of interview by the Director of Nursing or designee and with the approval of the CEO. The RN I includes but is not limited to newly graduated, board certified, registered nurses, and nurses with minimal to no experience in Behavioral Health-related nursing care. The RN l has the opportunity for advancement to RN II.
