The Residential Registered Nurse oversees the day-to-day operations of the Residential staff and ensures quality of care throughout Residential. They carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: staff direction and development, direct care and medication delegation, quality assurance and improvement, and DHS 13, 83, 88, and chapter 50 & 51 compliance. They will also assist in Clarity Care’s Occupational Health Department

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse under s.441.06, Wis. Stats.
  • Training and experience in the provision of personal care services or in a related program.
  • Undergo successful orientation and participate in competency-based assessments of skills on a regular basis as required by state law.

Responsibilities

  • Delegate and monitor medication responsibilities to Residential staff in compliance with DHS 83 & DHS 88 to ensure Member health
  • In collaboration with Residential Management, assess the medical needs of Residential Members upon admission and readmission from hospital/skilled nursing facility, and change in medical condition.
  • Assist with Member’s Plan of Care in accordance with the Member’s needs as directed by physician(s) and Clarity Care policy.
  • Provide quality Nursing services to Clarity Care clients
  • Teach classes to Clarity Care employees
  • Assist in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating home care and residential services provided to clients.
  • Evaluate the need for services and make referrals to other services as appropriate.
  • Secure written orders from the client’s physician.
  • Develop a plan of care for the client, giving full consideration to the client’s preferences for service arrangements.
