About The Position

Provides pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS certification
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in perioperative, PACU, critical care, or emergency nursing
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient‑education skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments, reviews medical histories, and ensures readiness for surgery
• Administers medications, monitors vital signs, and maintains patient safety throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educates patients and families on surgical procedures, post‑operative expectations, and discharge instructions
• Maintains accurate documentation and adheres to regulatory, safety, and infection‑control standards
• Responds to emergencies and performs interventions within scope of practice
