About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the John R Marsh Cancer Center. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and supportive care services. You will play an essential part in delivering safe, evidence-based care while offering the empathy and emotional support our patients and their families need during a challenging time. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for oncology patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. Administer chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and other cancer-related treatments in compliance with safety standards and protocols. Monitor patients for treatment responses and side effects, intervening promptly when necessary. Educate patients and their families about disease processes, treatment plans, side effect management, and available resources. Serve as a patient advocate, coordinating care with physicians, social workers, nutritionists, and other team members. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards in all aspects of care. Requirements

  • Education - ASN required. BSN Preferred.
  • Experience - Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Licensure/Certification - Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required. Must pocess high level of organization and communication skills.
