About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Laguna Beach Community Clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible care to all-regardless of ability to pay. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team. The Registered Nurse works in the Laguna Beach Community Clinic (LBCC) primary care clinic assisting medical providers with patient care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning the workday and managing staffing requirements to adequately meet patient scheduling and workflow. The Registered Nurse oversees and assists Medical Assistants in the performance of their duties assisting medical providers with patient care and acts as a resource for questions or issues regarding patient care and LBCC policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse is knowledgeable in all third party and grant documentation requirements for patient care, as well as care and documentation requirements for patient programs in which LBCC participates. The Registered Nurse ensures all appropriate patient information is entered into the medical record.

Requirements

  • Ability to organize work environment and supervise the work of Medical Assistants and Volunteers to successfully carry out the responsibilities of this role.
  • Ability to recognize the significance of diversity in cultural values and health beliefs.
  • Ability to consistently work with other members of the care team in providing patient care and treatment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Two years' experience in a primary care clinic or other healthcare setting performing related job duties.
  • Active and current California Registered Nurse licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
