About The Position

We'll pay $5,250 toward your student loan, plus relocation assistance if you live more than 75 miles from Hillsdale! Work Schedule and Shift Premiums Full time (Nights) 7pm-7am | 36 hours/week, including weekends on a rotation 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour Weekend premium is $2.00/hour Benefits Insurance: medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, disability Paid Time Off: vacation, sick days, personal days, holidays Retirement: 403(b) with match Education assistance and continuing education - many courses offered on-site at the hospital Qualifications Associates degree or better with sufficient clinical experience required Current Michigan RN license BLS certification required ACLS certification within 1 year of hire 1 year of medical surgical or CCU experience Responsibilities Demonstrates the ability to collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and/or situation, appropriate to the age of the patient served The nurse analyzes the assessment data, identifies appropriate nursing diagnosis/problem lists and creates an individualized plan of care for the patient Effectively implements the individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary team Demonstrates the ability to evaluate outcomes and adjust the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care Participates in unit specific and/or hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assists with activities that enhance the quality of nursing practice at HCHC Demonstrates a willingness to work as part of a team within own department and with all departments to create and maintain a healthy work environment Mentors/Precepts new staff when appropriate The nurse demonstrates a commitment to acting as a patient advocate. Delivers care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminating manner that is sensitive to patient diversity. Actively preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights Identifies and addresses the educational and discharge follow-up needs of the patient from admission through discharge. Requirements

  • Associates degree or better with sufficient clinical experience required
  • Current Michigan RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
  • 1 year of medical surgical or CCU experience
