Position: Registered Nurse MNA Department: Geriatric Behavioral Health Schedule: Rotating Days/Evening (7a-3p and 3p-11p), Rotating Weekends ABOUT THE GERIATRIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT: 4BH is a 16 bed Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit. The patient population consists of patients with neurocognitive disorders including but not limited to Alzheimer's, Dementia, Failure to Thrive, Parkinson's with Behavioral Disturbances. Prospective candidates for this unit must demonstrate culture competence and professional integrity in the pursuit of optimal patient care. Prime candidates will also enjoy the variety of clinical and behavioral experiences Behavioral Healthcare provides. POSITION SUMMARY: As an RN in the Geriatric Behavioral Health Department, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Requirements

Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
Current RN Massachusetts license & BLS required
1+ years of RN in a behavioral health setting preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
