About The Position

We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse position on our Screening and Admission Unit (SAU). The primary purpose of the SAU Professional Nurse is to actively collaborate with all customers and ensure patients are processed in a safe manner and divert admissions that are clinically or legally inappropriate. The position is to provide psychiatric mental-health care and direct supervision to other licensed and non-licensed staff during their assigned shift. This care includes the assessment/treatment of actual or potential mental and medical conditions. Supervision includes rotating the charge nurse role and appropriately delegating tasks and responsibilities to other staff.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
• Candidates will be considered while completing licensure requirements.
• Licensure must be obtained prior to beginning employment.
• Advanced Physical Skills (APS) certification through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR certification within 60 days.
• Valid driver's license.
• This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
• All employees are required to adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy.

• Ability to communicate information in a concise and descriptive manner, verbally, written, or by demonstration.
