About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses to join a Night Shift Float Pool in Syracuse, NY. This role is ideal for adaptable, high-performing RNs who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and can confidently care for both adult and pediatric patients. Float Pool RNs will support Adult Emergency Departments, including Level 1 and Level 2 trauma cases, and are expected to practice with a high degree of clinical autonomy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (within the last 2 years)
• Prior experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center required
• Active, unrestricted New York State RN license
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS and PALS – Strongly Preferred

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma hospitals
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Demonstrated ability to care for both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and adaptability skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
• Perform rapid assessments and life-saving interventions in high-acuity situations
• Manage trauma patients in accordance with established clinical protocols
• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and multidisciplinary staff
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Function independently with minimal orientation in a fast-paced ED setting
