Registered Nurse – Neuro Specialty Unit (Nights)
About The Position
Heartline Staffing, strategic talent partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Neuro Specialty Unit providing step-down level care during night shifts. This specialized unit focuses on the care of patients with non-traumatic neurological conditions including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, seizure disorders, brain tumors, neuromuscular conditions, and patients requiring Epilepsy Monitoring Unit services. In this role, the RN delivers comprehensive nursing care through ongoing assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, high-quality outcomes for patients with complex neurological needs. Schedule: Night shifts Every other weekend Rotating holidays Compensation: Starting hourly rate of $33.52, with pay varying based on experience. Sign-on bonus available for experienced candidates.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved program eligible for Virginia RN licensure
- Active Virginia RN license or eligible multistate compact RN license
- CPR required
- ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as required by unit
- Experience or interest in neurological step-down nursing
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC)
- Ability to meet orientation and competency requirements
