About The Position

This temporary position is located at 301 Ashe Ave, Raleigh, NC 27604 - Wake County, with the Governor Morehead School for the Blind. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $35.00(Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed in the class specification. Requirements

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted NC-approved license.
  • CPR certification.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct healthcare for students' w/ illnesses or injuries.
  • Promote health education and preventive health practices for students.
  • Essential clinical skills to dispense medication/treatments to students who are provided/approval by their Healthcare Provider or parent.
  • Protect the Confidentiality of Health Care documentation in compliance with HIPAA/FERPA.
  • Good communication skills to work with students and parents.
  • Work independently/flexible.
