About The Position

Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. Come join our team as a RN/LPN and see how rewarding and fun work can be in a TCU! As a RN/LPN your patient to nursing staff ratio is three times lower than the average nursing home. In this role you will be responsible for the following job duties:

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed as a LPN or RN with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
  • Current CPR Card Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to patients by providing ADLs, accessing physical and mental status of patient to determine efficacy of treatment and care plan, administer medication complete all documentation, etc.
  • Prepare room preparation and room discharge of patients
  • Answer call lights and provide follow-up to ensure needs are met.
  • Answer questions from patients and families or direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
