Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in a clinical setting (specific field experience may be required depending on department).
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patient health needs and establish individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, specialists, and other healthcare staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about health management, medication, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with best practices and changing regulations in the nursing field.
