About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide non-personal healthcare services at the New Sunrise Regional Treatment Center (NSRTC), a 22-bed facility located on the Pueblo of Acoma in New Mexico. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver skilled professional nursing care and services to Native adolescents within a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility. The Contractor will support the Clinical Treatment Team in providing treatment services and will utilize the nursing process to identify patient needs, and to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care appropriate to the age and condition of each patient. The work encompasses the full range of professional nursing duties, including obtaining patient history, performing nursing assessments, identifying care requirements, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and observing, recording, and carrying out authorized provider orders for a variety of patient conditions, including emergency situations. The Contractor is expected to exercise independent professional judgment in assessing patient conditions, identifying appropriate care, and responding to incomplete or conflicting clinical data. This role may involve data analysis, care planning, and the use of specialized medical equipment, and may be performed in high-stress or emergency situations.
