About The Position

This job is typically 12-weeks length in assignment. Acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions; maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department’s strategic goals and objectives and demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing. The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
1 year of experience as a registered nurse.
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Certification in clinical specialty area.
