About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Neuro Med Surg/Progressive Care Team in the Weaver Tower at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a day-shift opportunity. RNs on this unit provide care for patients who may need advanced care due to various conditions such as Parkinson's, seizures, Guillain-Barre, strokes, brain tumors, etc. Candidates with varied backgrounds including rehab/nursing home, Med/Surg, and PCU are encouraged to apply. Requirements
- 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
- Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Serve as patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
