Registered Nurse - Per Diem

We are currently seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our collaborative clinical team. Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- Current ACLS/AED certification required
- One year of OR or ASC experience preferred
- Conscious sedation experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical workflows
- Familiarity with ophthalmic procedures preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Responsibilities
- Pre- and post-operative patient calls
- Patient admission and discharge
- Collection and documentation of patient histories, symptoms, and conditions
- Administration of medications and treatments as ordered
- Intraoperative circulating duties
- Monitoring patient status and maintaining accurate medical records
- Performing diagnostic testing as appropriate
- Oversight of medical assistants and surgical technicians
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, WISHA, and all clinic policies
- Participation in quality, safety, and infection control initiatives
- Administration and monitoring of conscious sedation (training supported)
- Monitoring patient vital signs in the operating room
- Serving as a designated Infection Control Specialist, including maintaining infection prevention protocols, identifying risks, supporting staff education, and assisting with audits, reporting, and annual planning
