About The Position

We are currently seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our collaborative clinical team. Requirements

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Current ACLS/AED certification required
  • One year of OR or ASC experience preferred
  • Conscious sedation experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical workflows
  • Familiarity with ophthalmic procedures preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

  • Pre- and post-operative patient calls
  • Patient admission and discharge
  • Collection and documentation of patient histories, symptoms, and conditions
  • Administration of medications and treatments as ordered
  • Intraoperative circulating duties
  • Monitoring patient status and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Performing diagnostic testing as appropriate
  • Oversight of medical assistants and surgical technicians
  • Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, WISHA, and all clinic policies
  • Participation in quality, safety, and infection control initiatives
  • Administration and monitoring of conscious sedation (training supported)
  • Monitoring patient vital signs in the operating room
  • Serving as a designated Infection Control Specialist, including maintaining infection prevention protocols, identifying risks, supporting staff education, and assisting with audits, reporting, and annual planning
