About The Position

Alternatives, Inc. is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing department serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will: Provide skilled nursing care tailored to the unique needs of adults with IDD. Collaborate with direct support professionals, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, person-centered care. Monitor health conditions, administer medications, and coordinate medical services. Advocate for the health, safety, and well-being of each individual in your care. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
  • Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening
  • Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A caring, empathetic approach and a passion for serving others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developmental disabilities, mental health, or related fields strongly preferred
