About The Position

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time, On-Call Registered Nurse supporting our Intensive Residential Treatment (IRT) Centers in Provo, Utah, with the opportunity to float to various outpatient and residential programs as needed. In this flexible role, you'll work alongside a passionate, interdisciplinary team dedicated to serving individuals experiencing severe mental illness and related behavioral health needs. As an RN with Wasatch Behavioral Health, you'll provide follow-up medical care, collaborate closely with treatment teams, and apply your clinical skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Utah
  • Experience in mental or behavioral health settings
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications, side effects, and drug interactions
  • Experience with patient counseling and mental health treatment programs
  • Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check.
  • After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
  • Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and document medications while assessing for side effects and adverse reactions
  • Complete medical assessments, admissions paperwork, and ongoing client progress documentation
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, providers, and interdisciplinary treatment teams to support individualized treatment plans
  • Coordinate medical appointments, medication assistance programs, and continuity of care for residential clients
  • Conduct urine screenings and mental and physical health evaluations as needed
  • Provide client education and facilitate groups focused on medication compliance, wellness, and healthy coping skills
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, medical providers, and service agencies to ensure clear communication and coordinated care
