About The Position
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. About This Location: Advocate Christ Medical Center is part of Advocate Health Care, one of the nation’s leading health care networks. A nonprofit, 788-bed, premier teaching institution with more than 1,500 affiliated physicians, Christ Medical Center is one of the major referral hospitals in the Midwest for a number of specialties, including cancer care; cardiovascular services; heart and kidney transplantation; neurosciences; orthopedics; and women’s health. The hospital provides emergency care for more than 105,000 patient visits annually and has one of the busiest Level I trauma centers in Illinois. Where You Will Work: 6 West Orthopedics/Medical-Surgical 6 West is a 30-bed unit with private rooms, specializing in the care of post-operative orthopedic patients, including hip, knee, and spine surgeries, as well as hip fracture repairs and other orthopedic procedures. The unit also supports medical-surgical overflow patients. Our team is dedicated to delivering evidence-based post-operative care practices that promote safe recovery, optimal outcomes, and a patient-centered experience.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
