About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate direct patient care to all of our populations. If you are passionate about providing your patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric conditions, you would be a great fit on our team. Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings. Schedule: 100% onsite at our Northbrook, IL location. Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:00 OR 10 hr shifts from 8:00am to 6:00pm, four days a week.

Requirements

Hold a BSN degree (preferred) or LPN
Are a Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in Illinois
Are certified in Healthcare Provider CPR
Have a minimum of 1 year of Hospital Experience (preferred)
Have experience in mental health (preferred)
Possess excellent therapeutic communication skills

Responsibilities

Medication administration
Nursing Assessments
Measuring & recording vitals
Phone triage
Performing basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies
Maintaining medication inventory
Recording patient history and medical findings
Assisting providers with writing laboratory orders and retrieving results
Assisting with the completion of medical documentation for patients and their families
Coordinating with insurance companies for medication and diagnostic prior authorizations
Assisting providers with prescription refills
Specimen collection
Provide support & assistance to the organization’s committees
Provide support and assistance during crisis or emergency situations
