Appalachian Mountain Health (AMH) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FCHC) that provides comprehensive primary care to low-income, medically underserved and uninsured populations. AMH’s mission - to provide culturally competent, high quality healthcare to the medically vulnerable population in western North Carolina (NC) - is rooted in a primary care and preventive services medical home model with fees for services adjusted on the basis of a patient’s ability to pay. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Overseeing the daily clinical operations of practices and providing direct supervision to clinical support staff, including ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patients Conducting regular assessments of clinical processes and outcomes to identify opportunities for rapid cycle quality improvement Ensuring compliance with established regulations and clinical standards, including those put forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and 19 Program Requirements of the Health Center Program Collaborating with the Clinical Director on development and implementation of policies and procedures and quality improvement and assurance plans Compiling and analyzing data on patient outcomes, quality improvement initiatives, provider performance and productivity and preparing reports for administration Analyzing staffing patterns in collaboration with Human Resources and assisting with recruitment, selection, orientation, training and evaluation of clinical staff
