About The Position

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) to our Cardiac Outpatient Services (COPS) Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN, day shift opportunity, M-F. No call and no holidays. As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for assessing Heart Center patients, including evaluating, continuous monitoring, interpreting, communicating, and recording patient conditions. RN coordinates with the physician's office, other RNs, the laboratory, dietary, x-ray, pharmacy, and other hospital areas. COPS RN perform TEEs, cardioversions, and Tilt Table tests. Reviewing charts with labs and current conditions of pre- and post-cath lab patients that are having heart catheterizations, peripheral angiograms, etc. Direct communication with various physicians regarding patient care issues and handling emergent patient situations. Requirements

  • Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Responsibilities
