About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical Unit at a leading healthcare facility. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care in an acute care setting, ensuring high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- NIHSS (Stroke Scale Certification) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a similar-sized acute care facility
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
- Maximum 7 days of RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed
- Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in a timely manner
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital policies
