About The Position

Smyrna Care Center is adding to their exceptional team! We have day and night shifts available, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus for full-time night positions. This bonus is subject to terms, conditions, and restrictions, and is limited time only, divided and paid out into equal installments. Employees can start working today and get paid tomorrow. Requirements

• Graduate of nursing program.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Licensed in appropriate state as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Make daily rounds on assigned unit at least at the beginning and at the end of the shift to observe, examine, and/or interview residents.
• Physically assess new admissions and residents for changes in condition or as required by regulation.
• Ensure provision of resident care, including developing appropriate care assignments, monitoring care given, and providing care by taking/recording vital signs.
• Assist with care plans to promote the highest level of resident physical, social, and mental well-being.
• Ensure proper communication of resident care matters to residents, physicians, family/legal representatives, and other proper persons.
• Train and develop staff by assisting with orientation of new staff and observing skills of nursing personnel.
• Maintain proper documentation of care and services delivered during the shift.
• Report relevant information to the Director of Nursing/designee.
• Participate with Director of Nursing/designee in survey processes.
• Provide for employee and resident safety, including monitoring staff for compliance with OSHA and reporting incidents.
• Perform quality assessment and assurance functions.
• Assist with development and update of policies and procedures.
• Maintain and apply current skills and knowledge through continuing education.
