About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Liberty Health's Yadkin Nursing Care Center is a full-time role focused on providing quality nursing care to patients in a supportive and compassionate environment. The RN will work night shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM, ensuring adherence to physician's orders and facility policies while supervising nursing assistants and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and ensure timely completion of work assignments.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to work well with nursing personnel and other departments.
• Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems.

Nice To Haves

• Genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• Experience in a nursing leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Assure quality nursing care for patients by following physician's orders and facility policies.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies.
• Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
• Assist physicians with rounds as needed.
• Care for patients during medical rounds, examinations, and treatments.
• Perform scheduled treatments and document appropriately.
• Maintain infection control measures as necessary.
• Assist with research related to the quality of nursing care as assigned.
• Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions.
• Schedule patients' annual physicals with attending physician and ensure timely documentation.
