MVHS Wynn Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team! The Wynn Hospital is New York's newest hospital and our Emergency Department has been designed and built with our nurses and patients in mind. Our 64-bed unit is designed in a pod formation to increase efficiency and create a fully encapsulated work environment. We are also a Level III designated Trauma Center with 2 state-of-the-art trauma bays ready for immediate response to the most emergent patients. Additionally, our ED features a Behavioral Health sub-unit for psychiatric emergency care, as well as an Urgent Care Super-Track which allows less emergent patients to be seen more quickly. Nurses generally experience a 4:1 ratio and no hallway beds.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse associate degree program.
  • Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
  • Previous nursing experience in related specialty.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and restore patients' health.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Assess patient needs and provide education and support to families.
  • Manage diverse cases and maintain meticulous patient records.
