About The Position

Aurora Health’s Wisconsin Float Pool is seeking experienced Women’s Health Registered Nurses to join our exceptional team of float nurses! Float Locations: BayCare Bay Area Oshkosh Fond du Lac Manitowoc Sheboygan. This position is full-time with a pay range of $37.50 - $56.25 and is eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to women and newborns across various acute care settings, adapting quickly to new environments, and collaborating effectively with different teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Labor & Delivery (required), NICU, Postpartum.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to women and newborns across various acute care settings.
  • Adapt quickly to new environments and collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Champion patient safety and experience in every interaction.
  • Maintain competency to work across all acute care facilities within the designated market.
  • Use the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
  • Anticipate and recognize significant changes in the patient’s condition, status, and need for care.
  • Provide ongoing assessment of the patient and take appropriate actions when changes occur.
  • Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety.
  • Assess patient and family readiness to learn and individualize the approach as necessary.
  • Actively coordinate the discharge plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Apply evidence-based practice to deliver patient care.
  • Participate in quality/process improvement initiatives to improve the functions of the department and the patient care experience.
