We are hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for our growing team! As a Registered Nurse with ARC, we offer you the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, environment helping individuals overcome substance abuse addiction. The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the System of Care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of persons served/clients as they go through the rehabilitation process. This rewarding profession offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others. We currently have 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift schedules available for PRN positions! *Weekends Required*

Requirements

  • Active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kentucky
  • 2 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Substance abuse experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducts Nursing Assessments and monitoring of clients
  • Member of the Treatment Team
  • Handles the medication management; trains staff on medication dispensing
  • Ensures Universal Precautions of the center
  • Facilitates Health Education groups including General Health Education, Medication/Drug Interactions
  • Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow the prescribed course of treatment
  • Determines and implements specific protocol as designated by the Doctor
  • Protects the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.'s privacy policies, procedures, and practices
  • Maintains a respectful relationship with clients
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with staff and consumers alike
  • Brings policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise
  • Interacts with a multidisciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health
  • Communicates with the Case Manager and assists in ensuring the safety of the client
  • Adapts to schedule changes and assumes responsibilities not delineated in the job description
  • Coordinates and manages multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Prioritizes work and work-related responsibilities
