About The Position

The position is for a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pulmonary Diagnostics department at Atrium Health Cabarrus. The role involves working weekend days from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a pay range of $34.90 to $52.35 per hour. The RN will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The RN will uphold a culture of safety, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate EHR documentation. The position may require floating to other units and demands knowledge of age-specific care requirements.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Additional education, training, certifications, or experience based on specialty.
