About The Position

The Registered Nurse Weekend Option Part Time plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care during weekend shifts, ensuring continuity and consistency in healthcare services. This position requires the nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and providing education and support to patients and their families. Working primarily on weekends, this role demands adaptability and strong clinical judgment to manage diverse patient needs in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the nurse contributes to maintaining a safe, compassionate, and efficient healthcare setting that meets regulatory standards and promotes patient well-being.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice within the United States.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Ability to work weekend shifts as part of a part-time schedule.
  • The Ideal Candidate has a minimum 2 yrs experience as an RN and must be able to work independently in the ER, Med Surg, or as a CNA depending on the Need.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
  • Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all nursing activities and patient interactions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
