Wentworth Health Partners Cardiovascular Group, part of this system, provides expert care from fellowship-trained, board-certified vascular specialists, collaborating with Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. They treat all aspects of vascular health using both minimally invasive and traditional surgical options, focusing on accurate diagnosis and effective treatment with advanced imaging and modern endovascular technology. The team is seeking a full-time, 40-hour Registered Nurse to support their Vascular Surgery team. This role involves 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, staggered between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The primary location for this position is 10 Members Way in Dover, NH, with occasional cross-coverage at their Portsmouth, NH practice located at 67 Corporate Drive. The vascular surgery program is experiencing significant growth, with plans to expand services to a second Portsmouth location. The practice operates within a multidisciplinary, team-based care model, fostering close collaboration among physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and medical assistants. This role will also collaborate with the Mass General Heart and Vascular Institute to support ongoing program development and growth. The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient care and support within the outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - required
  • Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required
  • Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred
  • Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred
  • Prior experience in Vascular Surgery and/or Medical–Surgical settings
  • Outpatient clinical experience
  • Experience with care coordination
  • Proficiency in EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
  • Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
  • Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
