Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the U.S.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by recognized accrediting bodies.
  • Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.

  • Experience in urology or surgical nursing specialties.
  • Advanced certifications in nursing or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for individual nursing practice and delegation of tasks.
  • Formulate a plan of care based on nursing assessments.
  • Provide patient care and care coordination in the Urology Specialty Clinic.
  • Assist with minor office procedures and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Advocate for health promotion and provide health education to patients and families.
  • Conduct pre and post-procedural care, including assessments and medication administration.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of all phases of care in the electronic health record.
  • Maintain a sterile field during minor clinic procedures.
